FYI:
So as much as I LOVE BBM it is obviously not going to keep me from getting the EVO. So to all my BBM buddies, beginning June 4th (after 5 pm) you will no longer be able to chat with my via BBM. It’s okay though. There is always texting or google talk. My google talk name is cdlampley.

Just found this and now have a Hot Potato account. Now I must figure out how I’m going to use this.Hot Potato is one of the websites I’ll be watching closely this year. It allows for users to help friends collaborate and share their experiences over live events. Though it’s still quite new, I think the need for such an engaging tool will be the next wave in how we use the web socially. Imagine gathering your friends from around the country (or even the globe!) together to watch the State of the Union address, all while being able to get their reactions in real time. Hot Potato is a simple well executed idea that I look forward to seeing evolve.
If you know me, you’re probably sick of me talking about the EVO by now. I have a friend at work who has decided to ignore me every time I mention the EVO. I can’t help it though. From the first day I found out about it, I wiped the drool off my mouth and screamed “I NEED THAT!”. Not want. NEED. I currently rock a Blackberry Curve 8330. As happy as I was when I first got it I realized that it doesn’t do everything I need my phone to do. And If I have to do one more battery pull………
Here are 5 reasons why I need the EVO. Of course there are many reasons why but these are my top 5 reasons. And yes I pre-ordered the phone at Radio Shack this past weekend.
5. It’s Massive. I remember always looking at my Curve and wishing it was a Bold 9000. Why? Because the Bold is huge. I’m a fan of big phones.
4. Android. If at first you don’t succeed, Google it!. I’m a Google girl. Seriously. If people don’t know the answer to something they ask me to Google it. I do everything through Google. Gmail, calendar, Google Reader, I even do a little of Buzz. I need more Google in my life so I should definitely get one of their phones.
3. Kickstand. This phone has a kickstand. I need a phone that has a kickstand. I just do.
2. The Apps. I remember when I had to get a replacement blackberry cause the one I had was just acting crazy. The guy at the sprint repair shop told me I had too many apps. What??? That didn’t make any sense to me. But then again my Blackberry doesn’t have that much memory for apps. This will change with the EVO.
1. Have you seen it! Go see it and you’ll understand. Here’s the link. GO!
I didn’t mention 4g cause Columbus doesn’t have 4g but I don’t care. I need this phone. NEED IT! Oh and I forgot to mention that it was touchscreen and it had 2 cameras and it connects to your HDTV. And more. As you can see I now have a countdown to when I pick this phone up at Radio Shack. 17 days. I can’t wait!
New book I’m reading. Downloaded it on my Nook yesterday. It’s really just too easy to buy books on my Nook. This could get dangerous.
I like this Nook cover. It’s called a Kindle Kozy but it should fit the Nook as well. It’s very simple. From felted on Etsy.
